What

is DACOS®?

WHAT

DACOS® (Digital Antonello Croce Occlusal System) is a magnet-based adapter kit and software module that bridges digital with analogue articulators. It lets technicians snap any 3D-printed model back into its original occlusal position—no plaster, no guesswork.

How

DACOS® Work?

HOW

Design Phase – In Blenderfordental®, the DACOS module adds precisely magnet attachments to your STL.

  1. Print Phase – Models are printed with those seats ready for 6 mm neodymium magnets (included in the kit).

  2. Mount Phase – Drop the model onto the DACOS® Plate using the GlueJet provided tool.

  3. Articulate – Place the plate into any conventional articulator. Alignment mirrors the digital coordinates—guaranteed.

Result: Rapid, repeatable articulations that mirror your CAD plan down to the micron.

Some questions to answer.

Can I nesting the models with supports underneath it when using DACOS®?

Yes, and we even recommend it! The DACOS system is meticulously designed to integrate seamlessly with 3D printing supports.

The inside of the attachments is deliberately free of supports in critical areas and has horizontal extensions that are reduced below the deformation threshold.

DACOS recommends placing supports under the model to guarantee the accuracy and stability of the printing process.

If I apply too much adhesive, won't it affect the final Z position?

No need to worry! We've already thought of everything. Simply use the GlueJet included in the kit to glue the magnet in place.

The part that makes contact with the articulator is not the magnet itself but a specially designed surface that avoids any undesired variation in the vertical position.

Do my articulators need to be calibrated?

With DACOS, calibrating your articulators is no longer a concern. Thanks to the integrated auto-calibration system, DACOS adapts to the specific settings of your articulator the first time you install it.

Can I use DACOS® with Exocad, 3Shape and others CAD?

Absolutely, DACOS is fully compatible with models designed with other CAD software!

Simply export the models generated in Exocad or 3Shape while maintaining the original spatial coordinates. Then, import these models into the DACOS module, and with a simple click, the models will be ready to be re-exported and printed.

DACOS seamlessly integrates with existing workflows, making the process smooth and uninterrupted.

What if the model doesn't fit or is too tight?

If you're encountering OFFSET issues or if your printer may be overexposing, DACOS has the solution! We offer three different types of attachments: Tight, Standard, and Loose.

Depending on your printer’s specific settings, you can select the attachment that best suits your needs, ensuring a perfect fit for your model.
